Middle English II

Course Description

Middle English I is a 10 week course that focuses on 7th and 8th graders' language arts development. The class touches on all of the four basic language pillars: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. However, the main focus of the class is on reading comprehension and basic writing. With multiple touch points a week with the instructor and peer cohort, students develop habits of thinking and communicating with the English language. This course is focused mostly on English proficiency learners.

About the Instructor

Martha Vasquez

Ms. Martha Vasquez has been teaching with the Prestige STEM Academy team for the last 8 years. Year after year, her schedule is packed with students looking to book more time with her.

Currently, she leads the middle school humanities enrichment classes at Prestige STEM Academy such as Public Speaking, Literature Appreciation, Essay Writing, and Creative Writing. She also teaches high school honors humanities classes such as AP Language and AP Literature, with many of her students achieving the maximum score each year.
