Elementary Phonics

Learning phonics is an incredible important part of a young student's language development, as it helps these students map out sounds into spelling and decode words that they may not have seen before. Phonics learning should ideally begin around age 4 when they begin learning their ABSs, but Kindergarten is traditionally when students begin to connect letters and sounds. This instruction continues throughout early elementary school, with the Prestige STEM phonics course teaching students how to properly pronounce and spell words, improve their reading and sounding abilities, and begin developing reading comprehension skills. Students who have not started sound-letter connections by the beginning of the course are encouraged to explore 1-1 instruction options in order to catch them up with their peers.
